Drill Bit

Drill Bit

Refine Search

The Drill Bit provides the main cutting power to the drill string and thereby, its proper selection and use cannot be overemphasized. The drill bit crushes the rock under the combined action of the weight on bit and the rotary torque speed. The resulting chippings are flushed away by the circulating fluid, to allow the bit to attack a new surface of the rock. The process of cutting the rock and then, flushing out the drill cuttings results in a drill hole.
